Thursday, October 14, 2021 – Day 3

Gyms: Gyms are open at lunch! Vaccination passport and ID required

Hoodies: Hoodies have arrived!!! Pick up your order in the plaza today (Thursday) between 12:15pm – 12:45pm.

Terry Fox: All those who raised money and are participating in today’s (Thursday) Terry Fox Run are to report to 3rd period class for attendance. Once attendance is done, make your way outside behind the gyms to the softball field. The walk will begin at 1:20pm. Wear MV colours if you can!!!

Broomball Classes:  Broomball classes this afternoon only (Thursday) are to report to the gyms for class not the arena!  Sec.1 with Mr.Wright and Sec.5 with Ms. Owen

Merit Cards: Congratulations go out to Tyler Couture, and Dylan Rennie.  Stop by Home Base to pick up your prize!

Student Council Elections: TODAY IS THE DAY!! Come out and vote! Today, Thursday, October 14, make your voice heard and vote for Student Council Prime Minister. We have 2 great candidates, Louna Mercure and Carly Boivin. Remember to bring your ID card and a pencil!

Weightlifting Club: Please join us during lunch today (THURSDAY) in the gym.

Terry Fox: Did you know that Butler Elementary collected just under $8,000? Yes, indeed, and Heroes’ collected $4,500.  Are we going to be shown up by elementary schools a third or half our size? Massey-Vanier PRIDE comes in many versions, and one of them is being proud of doing our very best to BE the very best! We’re at $2,685  and still and there’s still one week to go.  Yes, we CAN!

Dance Studio – Thursday, October 14, @ 12:30: Senior Dance Team 

Entrepreneur Projects (Thursday at lunch): Many students have signed up, and I know you have been patiently waiting to start! There will be a meeting on Thursday at lunch to start the entrepreneur projects. For those who have signed up, as well as those who are interested, please come to student services to meet with the coordinator, Sylvie. 

Bring your team, bring your ideas, and get started making some money creating your very own business! If you can’t attend Thursday’s meeting, Please let Nikki know. 

CEGEP OPEN HOUSES: The next Open Houses are coming up on October 23rd (Champlain Lennoxville and John Abbott) and October 24th at Dawson College. For more information visit each Cegep’s website. The complete list of Open Houses is posted outside of the lounge. 

Secondary one students – Junior Optimist International Club: There is a meeting after school on Wednesday and Thursday this week. You can choose to join on Wednesday or Thursday, depending on what works for you. If you need transport, you have access to the late bus for free on Thursday. See Nikki in student services if you need more info. Anyone who is interested is welcome to join! Meetings start right after school and will end at 4:45. Meetings are held in the Intervention Room.

Day 1 to 9 calendar: Is a bit unusual next week as the Francophone sector does not have the same ped day as the Anglophone sector. 

Monday, Oct 18 – Day 5 (not day 4)

Tuesday (19), Wednesday (20), Thursday (21) – days, 6, 7, and 8

Friday, Oct 22 – Day 4 (not day 9)
